MEI was founded in 1969 by Mars, Inc. in response to the demand for better coin recognition technology for vending machines. In 2003, MEI acquired Conlux, the Japanese leader in coin mechanisms and bill validators. MEI was acquired by Advantage Partners and Bain Capital in 2006. Crane Co. completed the acquisition of MEI Conlux Holdings in December 2013.
MEI holds the world's largest installed base of unattended payment systems, handling over 2 billion transactions per week in more than 100 countries. The company developed the first electronic coin mechanism in the 1960s, followed by the first electronic non-contact bill validator, and more recently its credit card capability and vending management solutions software.
MEI payment systems' technology is considered the most reliable choice in hundreds of real-world applications and has earned the best performance rating in the market. Through its commitment to quality and innovation, MEI continues to provide the highest reliability and state-of-the-art products for the vending, gaming, amusement, transportation, retail and kiosk markets.
The VN4000 model of the Series 4000 is designed for vending applications that require a 110V MicroMech coin changer. It has a 12-pin MicroMech plug and is a direct replacement for the 3-tube model TRC-6000. The available change payout tubes for the VN4000 series cassettes are: nickel, dime, quarter and the dollar coin, with 15 standard cassette configurations. For 110v & 24v systems, the VN4000 (110v) and VN4010 (24v) are the only compatible high capacity coin acceptors available. They are currently out of production as new and in high demand as reconditioned.
This 4-tube Series 4000 coin changer allows the operator to select the best combination of tubes (15 standard coin-tube configurations [4 tubes each]) to maximize sales and minimize coin-refill service calls at each site.
The tube cassette is easily accessed, removed and replaced to facilitate routine coin-loading, and cassette configurations can be changed in the field without tools! The Series 4000 is designed to fit in new and existing machines. We can normally configure the coin payout tube cassettes to meet your change requirements.
