USI 3628 “Outsider” Multi-Zone Combo Vending Machine
The USI 3628 “Outsider” is a highly versatile, outdoor-rated combo vending machine engineered for demanding environments and flexible product requirements. Featuring a two-zone, two-temperature design, this machine allows operators to vend refrigerated and chilled products within a single cabinet.
Dual-Zone Temperature Control
The VT Vendor design incorporates a movable air deflector and insulated barrier that divides the cabinet into upper and lower temperature zones. In a typical 5-tray configuration, the system can be adjusted to support multiple layouts, including 2 refrigerated trays with 4 chilled trays, 3 & 3, or 4 & 2, depending on product height and tray spacing.
The lower zone maintains temperatures as low as 36°F (2°C), while the upper zone can operate up to 66°F (19°C), depending on ambient conditions. The top compartment may be optionally equipped with a heater and blower system for higher or stabilized temperatures when required.
Outdoor Performance & Refrigeration Design
This machine is designed to operate reliably in ambient temperatures ranging from 40°F to 90°F (4°C to 32°C). A modular insulated refrigeration system circulates air vertically through a rear duct and down through the trays, with engineered airflow openings in the lower trays to ensure consistent product cooling.
Advanced Programming & Accountability
All programming—including pricing, vend functions, and feature configuration—is handled directly through the onboard control system, eliminating the need for external accessories. Individual selections can be priced from $0.00 to $655.35 in five-cent increments. The system records cash accountability data, vend cycles, selection-level performance, and electrical faults, all accessible through Service Mode.
Each selection operates on its own motor, allowing functional selections to continue vending even if another motor becomes non-functional.
